About Us

'As Healers, at the end of the day all that truly matters is that the people who come to us for help feel better.  There is no other pursuit be it esoteric, scientific or financial even remotely close in importance.'
         ~Dr. Henele

 Are We Healers?

For years I wrestled with this lofty question of not feeling worthy of such an esteemed calling.  Who am I to call myself a healer?  If the body does the work, then what and whom have I ‘truly’ healed?  How do I know when a person has healed?  And what of a society that either refuses to acknowledge the healer or looks at us with a distanced skepticism, relics of a dark time before science brought light to disease?  After all, healers are the people of biblical legends and childhood fables, snake-oil salesmen at their worst, but revered teachers at their best.

Today, I pose this question to many of my students and they look, as I’m sure I looked in earlier years, timid and unsure, yet hopeful because we have been misled to believe that medicine is limited to white coats and stethoscopes, 5 minute consultations after 30 minute waits, big machines, antibiotics and the pharmaceutical commercial touting the latest medical breakthrough…but with side effect after side effect.  Let’s see, now your health is no longer your responsiblity.  Take a pill and you might be 'fixed,' but that 'fix' will come at an extreme cost whether it works or not.  There’s a decision for you, and if that one doesn't work then there's more pills for you too.  I can't tell you how many times I've sat with patients reviewing their current meds only to learn that most of the meds they are taking are for side-effects of other medications.  What a nightmare and sad reality for too many good people.

Somewhere, deep within us we all know there is a promise of health that co-exists with life.  Somewhere within us we can all resonate with the idea that the achievement of health does not have to have a side effect, or that maybe feeling great is the side effect.  It is a choice many of us have to make...do we want to be 'fixed' our do we want to make the commitment to heal our bodies, our relationships, our families, and even our lives.  Understand that the body is a record of our entire life.  To heal our body is to heal every aspect of our being.  Endeavoring into the healing journey is to make a statement of belief that we can create whatever reality we choose.  In my life I have learned that to be 'fixed' is to survive, but to heal is to truly live.

Without argument, in today's society Natural Medicine has not been given equal marketing, equal funding, equal education, and equal access.  We have endured hostile medical environments, targeted eliminations of our schools (see Flexner Report), slanderous accusations and doubt as to our credentials and yet we continue to grow.  We grow because when Natural Medicine is practiced intelligently from the heart it works.  It works when it is promoted by people who believe in it because they have experienced it.  It works when the people who practice it, live it day in and day out, not because we are supposed to, but because we choose to.  Natural Medicine is a belief that the Father We All Share has given us everything we need to experience the joy and longevity that life promises.

Being a Healer is about choosing to be compassionate towards the tribulations of our shared human experience.  Being a Healer is about making a choice that the people we meet feel better because of our time together.  The choice that our world will be a better place because of what we bring to the table.  Being a Healer is a statement of belief that we will use the gifts given to us to make a difference, that everyone matters, that our common goal as a people is the shared experience of life and love.

So in this light, the choice of being a Healer takes many, many forms.  The teacher who takes time preparing her lessons is a healer because it is her intention to improve the lives of her students, the father who wakes before the sun rises to go to work to care for his children is a healer, the person who lets another car pass with a smile is being a healer, the person who says ‘thank you’ is a healer, the person who says 'hello' simply to say hello is being a healer, the doctor, the activist, the waiter, the talk show host…healer, healer, healer, healer…if that is the intention they choose to live their lives with.

As for me...I am a father, I am a doctor, I am a bodyworker, I am a teacher, I am a yogi, I am a speaker, a writer, a salesman, a promoter, a tree hugger, and prone to my share of mistakes. From my mistakes, I choose to learn.  When wronged, I choose to forgive.  When I am in pain, I choose to heal.  In the journey of life when I lose myself, healing helps me find myself again.

Through it all I am a Healer, because I choose to care about others and the world we live in.  For me, that people feel better is my most dedicated pursuit.  I love earning a living to provide for my family, I love science and research, and I love the art of energetics, but what I love most, what never gets old, is helping people get better through Natural Medicine.  I love knowing that something I participated in made a difference in someone’s life; that the experience we shared through the healing process will create countless gifts for the world to open.  For me, nothing is close in importance.

I am Dr Henele Le’e E’ale, friend of positive energy, practitioner of Natural Medicine…and I am a Healer.

At Genesis Health Systems my growing team of Healers looks forward to helping you discover the Healer that lives within you.

The Meaning of the Genesis Logo

The Logo for Genesis Health Systems symbolizes each of us and our path to healing.  The fire of the logo symbolizes the light within each of us emanating from our heart, the house of our spirit.  The heart is the source of the most prominent healing energy known to life, love energy.  Powered by hope, the fire also makes the shape of a hand, reminding us that touch is an essential healing factor uniting all natural therapies.  Much like us, the 4 circles are each incomplete, yet open into deeper levels of understanding of ourselves.  Each circle opens in opposite directions symbolic of the 4 directions in Native American culture to honor the history of healing.  To honor those that have come before us.  The circles open to the East symbolizing a new beginning.

Similar to how the fascia organizes the muscles of our bodies, none of the 4 circles directly touch each other, yet the spaces between are continuous.  This helps to demonstrate a fundamental principle of creating space to create healing.
Where there is space there is movement, where there is movement there is energy, and where there is energy disease cannot exist.

Each circle represents one of the 4 Genesis Primary Therapies (Release Point Therapy, Cellular Cleansing, Yoga/Tai Chi, & Energetic Breathwork) as well as the 4 Genesis Therapy Categories for developing healing plans (Primary Therapies, Complimentary Therapies, Fine-tuning Therapies, Essential Therapies). In healing, we strive to create space within the fascia so that the stresses of life that dampen our fire can be released from the body.  Ultimately, we strive to help people maximize their fire so that their light can shine sharing their gifts with the world.
